BEFORE YOU START

1. Download and install the approved desktop TTF font kit from Oscar:
   https://oscar.infsystems.com/#typography
2. Install Source Serif 4 Regular and Semibold.
3. Install Inter Regular, Medium, and Semibold.
4. Restart Word and PowerPoint after installing fonts.

If the brand fonts are unavailable, use Georgia in place of Source Serif 4 and
Arial in place of Inter. Never retype or recreate the fixed logo.

USING THE WORD TEMPLATE

- Open the DOTX to create a new document based on the template.
- On Windows, you may also save the DOTX to your Custom Office Templates folder.
- On macOS, place the DOTX in My Templates or open it directly from Finder.
- Replace every bracketed placeholder before distribution.
- Use the built-in Title, Subtitle, Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, List Bullet,
and List Number styles instead of manually formatting repeated text.
- Export and inspect a PDF before sending a fixed deliverable.

USING THE POWERPOINT TEMPLATE

- Open the POTX to create a new presentation based on the template.
- Use Save as Template, then New from Template for future presentations.
- Choose a layout through Home > New Slide / Layout; use Reset to restore it.
- The PPTX and PDF show how every layout can look.
- Use White (#FAF9F6) for content, Warm Ivory (#F4F0E8) for section dividers,
and Deep Ink (#07131F) or dark photography for covers and closing slides.
- Keep one central idea per slide and preserve the established margins.
- Replace the image placeholder with an informative, appropriately licensed
  image and add alternative text.
- Add a source line for externally supplied facts, charts, or quotations.
- Remove unused sample slides before distribution.
- Edit tables directly and charts through Chart Design > Edit Data.
- Update the shared footer through Insert > Header and Footer > Apply to All.
- Replace ordinary pictures through Change Picture, then adjust Crop.
- For full-slide photos, open View > Slide Master and select the photo layout.
Drag the dark rectangle overlay aside; right-click the background image and
choose Change Picture > From a File. Resize/crop the photo to cover the full
slide without stretching it, then restore the overlay and close Master view.
This changes every slide using that layout.
- Replace illustrative values and imagery with appropriate content and sources.
Histogram bins are precomputed; recalculate them when replacing data.

ACCESSIBILITY AND HANDOFF

- Keep normal body text at 18 pt or larger in presentations.
- Do not rely on color alone to communicate meaning.
- Add alternative text to meaningful images, charts, and diagrams.
- Check reading order and contrast before presenting or publishing.
- Confirm recipients have the fonts before sharing editable files.
- For a fixed handoff, export and inspect a tagged PDF where supported.
